Distraction of Snow

The snow is so beautiful outside today, but I hate playing in the snow. I’m sitting inside just looking at it, and it’s ridiculously gorgeous. But I need to stop staring at it and start doing work. That’s not terribly likely in the near future, but hey, one can hope.

All the girls in my dorm who are rushing are using our lounge as base. The most lived in lounge in the hall is being used as home base by girls who hardly ever enter their’s… This makes sense how?

a poem

I walk along the road of life
All happiness, no trouble
Yet from the bright light up ahead
From recklessness I stumble

I reach out for a helping hand
Which once I knew so well
But in that pitch, my groping there
Finds naught but empty cell

My heart falls down into despair
Shroud’d thoughts commence to tumble
But slowly, unbeknownst to me
The ground begins to rumble

The rumble turns into a tremor
The tremor to a roar
And with heart-felt cry of angst
My knees, they meet the floor

Up ahead there grows a light
Footfalls drawing nearer
Then, that hand, that hand I loved
Steadily closer, clearer

This I thought will be the end
My suffering and pain now ceased
The Psyche saved from this torture
The flesh spared from this beast

No warning then, as I am drawn
Stood upright; strung by paw
My arms pulled tight behind and down
Raised chest for spreaded maw

That hand is raised, an arrow drawn
Psyche’s lover knows his mark

The string loosed.

The missile flung.

Fie love, fie light, fie happiness
Such quills alleg’d to bring

In stead of life
In stead of love
Which once I knew so well
Sole friends: - Pain and Suff’ring
In such confines as a cell
